Become the fittest football player!
'Football fit'
A healthy diet for football players is an aspect that is considerably underestimated in football. That is remarkable, because scientific research shows that food is responsible for 70 to 80% of your body composition and sports performance (!). Based on these scientific facts, it can therefore be concluded that without a healthy diet you will never get the most out of your football career.
Do you want to be the one who gets the most out of his football career? Then it's time to take action today! Below are six reasons why a healthy diet is so essential in football:
- Healthy food provides sufficient energy. You consume carbohydrates during competitions and training. Think of carbohydrates as the 'gasoline' for your body. Your body needs sufficient (good quality) carbohydrates to perform optimally. If these carbohydrates are insufficient, you will never achieve a high energy level.
- Healthy food ensures better recovery. Football is an intensive activity for your body, especially if you train and play matches a few times a week. During these training sessions or competitions, tears appear in the muscles. This is a normal process, but your body does need the right nutrition to optimally repair these muscle tears. If this is not done, the risk of injury will be significantly increased and muscle growth will also be hindered.
- Healthy food ensures better focus. When you know that your diet is under control, then you know that you have done everything you can to appear fit and focused at the kick-off. This allows you to enter the game with more confidence, sharpness and focus.
- Healthy food makes you feel fitter. Healthy food satisfies your body for longer. This means that it takes longer to digest, so you will benefit longer from the energy that this food provides. In addition, digesting healthy food costs less energy, so that you have more energy left for the competition. That is why healthy food can also be described as a source of 'sustainable energy'.
- Healthy food builds muscle. Nowadays, the physical condition plays an increasingly important factor for the chances of success in football. Strength training is therefore increasingly being implemented in the current training programs for soccer players and soccer players in the Netherlands. This has created a whole range of handy training equipment to facilitate these strength training sessions. However, there is still much progress to be made in the field of nutrition. You can do strength training 100 hours a week, but without the right nutrition you will never generate muscle growth. This simply has to do with the fact that nutrition plays a much more decisive role (70-80%) on body composition than the training itself.
- Healthy food facilitates better skills. Healthy nutrients ensure better concentration and more alertness. In football skills, this translates to better passing and dribbling skills. In addition, your anticipation ability is improved, because you are a lot more concentrated and alert.
Based on this information, it can therefore be concluded that a combination of good training materials and healthy food is actually the 'key' to success in football. Do you want to know more? Please contact us today via this link .
